Heritage Grove AP To Take Over At Thomas Jefferson

Anthony Pape will be the new Thomas Jefferson principal starting next school year.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Heritage Grove Middle School Assistant Principal Anthony Pape will serve as principal at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in 2018-19. Pape, a 13-year veteran teacher and administrator, will replace Kristin Smith.

Pape started his education career in 2005 teaching 6th-8th grade language arts and social studies at Heritage Grove.

He also served in several leadership roles, including athletic coordinator, Crisis Team co-chair and head coach of the boys’ volleyball team for five years.

Pape was named to his current role in 2014. He is working on his doctorate.

“Tony is an accomplished educator with strong classroom and administrative experience,” said Dr. Scott Fink, director of elementary administration and personnel. “We look forward to his work at Thomas Jefferson.”

Pape said he is excited for his new opportunity. “I look forward to working with the staff and parents as we all strive together as one team to assist the students grow and develop,” he said.
