Holiday Contest Prompts 13 Decked Out Plainfield, Shorewood Homes
The Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Let It Glow Holiday Light Competition through Jan. 7.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Thirteen houses throughout Plainfield and Shorewood are decked out for the holidays and competing to win one of three $100 cash prizes from the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber is hosting a Let It Glow Holiday Light Competition encouraging residents to go all out on decorating their houses and get creative with lights, lawn ornaments and wreaths. For people who love driving around the neighborhood or visiting other towns to see houses lit up, the Chamber's competition helps fuel that fun and aims at spreading more holiday cheer.
The contest, which started Nov. 1 and runs through Jan. 7, is currently in its voting phase, and residents can vote on their favorite houses by sending an email to letitglow@PSACchamber.com.

Sponsors of the competition will be voting on the houses for the Clark Griswold, and the people's choice award will be determined by people who email the Chamber with their favorite.
