I Scream, You Scream: See When Hazel Marie's Opens For The Season
Hazel Marie's has been hibernating for the winter season, and its reopening is on the horizon.
PLAINFIELD, IL — The weather in Illinois continues to be unpredictable — sunny and summer-like one day, rainy and chilly the next — but as it slowly but surely warms up, the urge to eat more ice cream will begin to kick in.
Hazel Marie's, the beloved old-fashioned ice cream parlor on Lockport Street in downtown Plainfield, is gearing up for its 2026 season following a winter hiatus.
The business is set to reopen its doors at noon Wednesday, staff announced on Facebook. Its last day of the 2025 season was Sept. 30.

Hazel Marie's serves 24 "creamy dreamy flavors of premium ice cream" as well as milkshakes and sundaes. According to its website, it will be open from noon to 10 p.m. daily through October.
