It's an Extravaganza of December Events at the Plainfield Park District!
Celebrate the holidays with the Plainfield Park District!
December 10: Santa’s Workshop (program #41413A1): From 6:30-8p, bring along your wish list to share with Santa, then enjoy the rest of your evening with crafts, snacks and games, it will be an evening full of fun and excitement for everyone! Pictures will be taken from 6:30-7:15p. (Each child will receive 1 photo with Santa) Parents may bring their cameras for additional pictures. We will end our evening with a story read by Santa. Event cost is R $12/NR $18 per child, this program geared for kids ages 6 and under w/parent. Event is located at the Plainfield Township Community Center 15014 S. DesPlaines Street, Plainfield.
December 18: Holiday Lights Contest (program #46409A1): The contest is open to all Plainfield Park District residents. Prizes will be given out in two categories: musical and nonmusical. Judging will take place at night on Dec. 18 from 5-10p, all decorations must be visible from the sidewalk. A committee will judge all entries and the winners will be notified that evening. All contest decisions will be final. A map of addresses will be available on the Park District’s Facebook page and website by December. Registration deadline is December 16 at noon. Event is $8 per household.
December 31: Noon Year’s Countdown (program #41406A1): From 11a-12:30p children will have a great time ringing in the New Year at Noon! We will have fun games, crafts and songs to add to the celebration. At noon we will have a count down with a balloon drop, a great way for kids to ring in a new year! Event cost is R $12/NR $18 per child, this program geared for kids ages 8 and under w/parent. Event is located at the Plainfield Township Community Center 15014 S. DesPlaines Street, Plainfield.
