Joliet Area Young Professionals Name Young Professional of the Year

Joliet, IL – State Senator.  Mayor.  Radio personality.  The list of the Joliet Area Young Professional’s Young Professional of the Year is a who’s who of the area’s most successful citizens.  This year’s recipient is no exception. 

The Joliet Area Young Professionals (JAYP), a division of the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry whose mission is to serve professionals ages 21 to 40 through networking, professional development, and community service events, is happy to announce that Sandra Fleck will be awarded at the November 18 Annual Dinner as the 2013 Young Professional of the Year.

Ms. Fleck is Senior Vice President and Market Leader for Heartland Bank and Trust Company.  Sandra follows in the footsteps of 9 previous accomplished young professionals.  Sandra is responsible for loan growth, strategy, and market development through her team of banking and lending professionals in the Joliet, Shorewood, Plainfield, Elwood, and Minooka markets. In her free time Sandra is a strong advocate for the community in which she lives dedicating her time as a Board member for Guardian Angel Services, the Rialto Foundation Board, Council for Working Women, Parent Advisory Council for Troy Craughwell, as well as co-founding the Pink Heals Joliet Area Chapter with her husband, Matt.

Sandra will receive her award at the JAYP Annual Dinner, held on Monday, November 18 at the Joliet Country Club, 1009 Spencer Rd.  A cocktail reception at 5:30 will be followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 6:30.  A special presentation from Michael Hennessy, President/CEO of the United Way of Will County, is scheduled as part of the evening as well. The Young Professional of the Year award recognizes a JAYP/Chamber member who has made outstanding contributions to their profession and to the community during the early years of their career.  The recipient of the Young Professional of the Year Award is based upon the following criteria: someone who upholds the values of the Joliet Area Young Professionals, is a voice for young professionals through communicating and exchanging ideas, educates others from different spectrums of serving the public, unselfishly volunteers their services to local boards and commissions, is a good friend to the community, and is able to set a good example for future young professionals.
