Kevin Young Joins The Timbers of Shorewood

Plainfield resident Kevin Young has joined the Timbers of Shorewood as a Business Development Liaison. The Timbers is located at 1100 North River Rd., Shorewood.

Young is responsible for marketing, leasing and business development at the Timbers.

"The interaction with the residents and staff makes everyone feel like they are part of a community,” he said. “The reward is seeing a senior thrive because of all the socialization and activities available at the Timbers.

For nine years, he was a medical social worker at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago. He also worked in business development for home health and hospice.

Young earned a bachelor of arts degree in Social Work from Western Illinois University, Macomb.

He enjoys biking, running and spending time with his two teenage sons. He also works with the Chicago Lab Rescue as a foster, transportation and screening for adoption.

Named the 2016 Business of the Year by the Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce, The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community that provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services.
