Kindness Counts at Montessori of Plainfield

Young campers brighten our community

Summer camp at Montessori of Plainfield has been off to a busy start! In our first session of summer camp, we are focusing on Kindness and Community. Our campers made paper flower bouquets and delivered them to the residents of Timbers of Shorewood last week and the residents just lit up with delight to see such kindness from such young people. Not only did this bring joy to our seniors, this act of kindness taught our campers how making someone else's day brighter can benefit both the giver and the receiver.

This week our young campers were challenged with the task of doing a household chore at home to "earn" items to then be donated to Plainfield Animal Care Center. Our campers had so much fun packing these items and learning a valuable lesson in empathy at the same time!

Our second session of summer camp is coming up and we have a few spots still available. Register today!
