Italian Restaurant La Dolce Vita Opens for Business
The new Italian restaurant, located in the same strip mall as Live 59 and Hometown Fitness, opened this week.

A new Italian restaurant that promises a taste of the sweet life opened its doors for business this week.
(translated "the sweet life for all") has moved into the corner location at 16108 S. Route 59, in the same strip mall that's also home to Life 59 and Hometown Fitness. It features dining space for about 85 people, with additional seating on front and back outdoor patios, and a large bar area.
It's owned by Dan and Kirsten Lombardo, who have owned La Dolce Vita della Piazza in Frankfort for seven years and recently sold La Dolce Vita in Lemont, which they opened 12 years ago.

The restaurant was to have been , and most of the construction on the restaurant had been completed for a July opening when owners decided they were over extended and sold it to the Lombardos.
Menu-wise, it's exactly the same as the Frankfort restaurant, with a full selection of appetizers, salads and chicken, seafood, steak and veal entrees.

Restaurant hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
