Last Chance To Have Coffee With D202 Superintendent Until Next Year

The final coffee chat of the school year takes place April 11 at D202 administrative center.

District 202 Superintendent Dr. Lane Abrell will host the fourth and final “Community Coffee with the Superintendent” for this school year on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

The coffee chat will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the district administrative center, 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield. The coffee is free and registration is not required.

The coffees are a popular way to meet and get information from Abrell, key administrators and board of education members. The coffees started in 2008 as a way to give community members direct access to top district officials.

“The coffees also let district staff hear the concerns and thoughts of our residents without any filters, which helps us know what is good and what needs fixing,” Abrell said.

Attendees “set” each coffee’s agenda through their questions. Community members may ask about and discuss any appropriate subject, as time allows.
