Library Board Nominating Petitions Available September 22, 2020
Five seats on the seven-member Board of Library Trustees are up for election on the April 6, 2021 ballot.

Nominating petitions forms for the April 6, 2021 library board election will be available beginning Tuesday, September 22, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Plainfield Public Library District’s Business Office, 15025 S. Illinois St.
Completed petitions must be filed between December 14 and December 21 at the Plainfield Public Library District’s Business Office during normal business hours only: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
The Board of Trustees is a seven-member board that establishes library policy, hires the library administrator, adopts the annual library budget, authorizes library services and sets salaries.

Five seats on the seven-member Board of Library Trustees are up for election on the April 6, 2021 ballot. Three candidates elected will serve two-year terms expiring in April 2023 and one candidate elected will serve a four-year term expiring in April 2025. All library trustee positions are nonpartisan. Eligible candidates are qualified electors of the Library district with one-year residency at the time the nomination papers are filed.
