Library to Host Presidential Campaigns: The Great American Pastime on November 1

Library to Host Presidential Campaigns: The Great American Pastime on November 1

The community is invited to a program on Tuesday, November 1 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Plainfield Public Library, located at 15025 S. Illinois St. in downtown Plainfield.

If you think political campaigns are down and dirty now, you won’t believe the mudslinging and muckraking of the Jefferson v. Adams campaign of 1800, Lincoln v. Douglas of 1860 or when Teddy Roosevelt decided to start his own political party. This program pokes a little fun, and explains a lot of the nonsense during the presidential election.

For more information, or to register for this program, please visit the Library’s online calendar at www.plainfieldpubliclibrary.org or call 815-327-2515
