Library to Host Showing of Florence Foster Jenkins on February 3

The public is invited to a showing of the movie, “Florence Foster Jenkins”, rated PG-13, on Friday, February 3 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Plainfield Public Library, located at 15025 S. Illinois St. in downtown Plainfield.
This film tells the inspirational true story of a New York heiress, Florence, who obsessively pursued her dream of becoming a great singer. The voice she heard in her head was divine, but to the rest of the world it was hilariously awful. At private recitals, her devoted husband and manager, St Clair Bayfield, managed to protect Florence from the truth. But when Florence decided to give her first public concert at New York's Carnegie Hall, St Clair realized he had perhaps bitten off more than he could chew.
The movie starts at 1:00 pm. Doors open at 12:30 pm. You are welcome to bring snacks with you to enjoy during the movie.
