Library Hosts Volunteer Fair

The Plainfield Public Library is hosting a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, February 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St., Plainfield, is hosting a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Teens, adults and seniors are invited to gather information from over twenty local organizations about ways they can make a difference in the community.

Fair participants can speak with representatives from a wide variety of agencies that need help to feed the hungry, nurture the environment, provide for veterans and so much more. Organizations represented include: Will County Forest Preserve, Spanish Community Center, Joliet Area Community Hospice, Avery YMCA, The Miracle League of Joliet, Conservation Plainfield, Friends of the Plainfield Library, Ronald McDonald House, DuPage Pads, Alzheimer’s Association, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Southwest Suburban Immigrant Project, Operation Welcome You Home, Relay for Life, Rialto Square Theatre, Joliet Cares, Bridges to a New Day, Catholic Charities, Salvation Army and the Plainfield Park District.
