Linda K. Armknecht
Passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the age of 67 years.
Born May 28, 1957, in Taylorville, IL, Linda was the beloved wife of Mark M. Armknecht for 41 years, and a devoted mother to sons Randy (Kathy) Armknecht and Kevin Armknecht. She was a cherished grandmother to Aubrey, Leah, Peter, and Charlie, and a dear sister to Bill Hilbert.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and June Hilbert, and her brother Mike Hilbert.

Linda graduated from Rush Medical Center School of Nursing in 1985 and devoted her career to caring for others. Her professional journey included roles at Rush Medical Center, Edwards Hospital NICU, and Dr. Akl Pediatrics in Bolingbrook. Linda’s compassionate spirit extended beyond her professional life, as she was an active member of the Midwest Pond and Koi Society and loved tending to her flower gardens. She and Mark had a special place in their hearts for Hawaii, often traveling there to relish its beauty. Linda’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to caring for others, and love for life and nature.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., on Friday, August 9th from 1:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 P.M.
