Lindalee S. Adams, age 82, a longtime resident of Plainfield, IL.

Lindalee S. Adams, age 82, a longtime resident of Plainfield, IL, formerly of LeSueur, MN, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL.

She was born November 6, 1942, in St. Peter, MN and was raised in LeSueur, MN. Lindalee is survived by several cousins, many friends and her beloved feline companion of 20 years, Silver.

Lindalee was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Sylvia Adams; her sister, Barbara Kaye Adams, her guardian and aunt, Rev. Vern Ellis and Carmen Ellis; and stepmother, Marion Adams. She was also preceded by her cats, Tommy and Miriam.

Lindalee graduated from Illinois State University in Normal earning a BA and MA in Library Science. She was a longtime school librarian in the Plainfield and Homer Glen school districts and concluded her career at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.

Lindalee was a longtime and active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Joliet, IL and was also a member of the Plainfield Historical Society. She was an avid reader, world traveler and enjoyed gardening (her window boxes were her pride and joy).

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, 2:00-6:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 Joliet Rd. (Corner of Rt. 30 and Rt. 59), Plainfield, IL 60544.

A celebration of Linda’s life will begin on Tuesday, April 22nd with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service Tuesday, 11:00 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 310 N. Broadway St., Joliet, IL 60435, (815) 722-3567, with Rev. David W. Totsky officiating. Lindalee will be laid to rest at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Gaylord, MN.
