Plainfield voters headed to the polls on Tuesday casting ballots in the 2015 Consolidated Election.

Plainfield Village Board

Six candidates vied for three seats on the Plainfield Village Board, re-electing incumbent Bill Lamb.

Landing second among the top three vote getters was Edward O’Rourke. Challenger Michael Lambert pulled out a squeaker beating Brian “Wojo” Wojowski by three votes, according to preliminary vote totals in Will and Kendall Counties.

The unofficial counts were:

Bill Lamb - 763

Michael Lambert - 740

Plainfield Park Commission

Three candidates fought it out for two unexpired terms on the embattled Plainfield Park Commission. Robert D. Ayres and Ridgley Ann “Mimi” Poling were the top vote getters, edging out John Ledvina.

Larry Newton and Mary Kay Lundemann ran unopposed for two full terms.

Preliminary vote totals are:

Mary Kay Ludemann (full term) - 3,355

Larry Newton (full term) - 2,672

Robert D. Ayres (unexpired two-year) - 2,465

Ridgley Ann “Mimi” Poling (unexpired two-year) - 2,176

Results become ”official” after validation and counting of provisional and grace period ballots (within 14 calendar days of the day of the election) and after canvass has been completed (seven calendar days from the completion of validation).
