Loyalty and Peace

I love America.  Born in Britain, and lived in the US for 10 years, a citizen for 3 years, I consider this my home also.  Despite light-hearted teasing from my family about my adoption of America, I believe American-British relations to be strong and my own personal relationship with my home country and my new home to be healthy also.

Ahmadi Muslims are practicing their faith freely in both of these countries, and we are paying back to them also.  Many humanitarian campaigns such as Muslims for Life blood drives and Humanity First projects underscore how productive a force we are in society because the Holy Quran admonishes us “And seek not to create disorder in the Earth (28:78)”.

I am loyal to my country and cannot abide any terrorist group attacking my people, because the Quran teaches us if you kill one person it is like killing the whole of mankind.  I shun such acts by so-called Muslims, and am disgusted by those who come here, get educated like the Boston bombers, and then attack on the very soil they benefitted from.

I believe that religion cannot define a country, and that when religious leaders try to run a country conflict ensues.  As Ahmadi Muslims, we advocate religious freedoms for all people which is seen in America, and Britain.  We believe that there is no compulsion in religion, and people of different faiths must harmoniously co-exist under a governing body, and we must be obedient to our respective governing body, taught in Quran “Obey Allah and obey His Messenger and those who are in authority among you (4:60)”.  If each governing body acts with justice world peace will ensue.  God bless the whole world.
