Lucky for You (This Dog Needs a Home)
Looking for a great canine playmate to enjoy the active life with? Well, then this is your "Lucky" day!

[pictured above, Lucky--a lovely female Australian Cattle Dog mix]
Lucky is such a special girl with a compelling story, so this week, she's going to speak from her sweet heart and tell you about herself, in her own way! (Although, on a personal editorial note, I feel compelled to say LOOK at her beautiful face, her soulful eyes! Irresistible.)
My name is Lucky and I haven't been so lucky lately.

See, I am an active, "working" breed dog trying to live in the city. It's hard to find things to herd and I miss working on the farm. I was adopted into two different families with small children and I decided it was my job to be in charge. I got into mischief with their toys and tried to boss the kids around. Now my rescue angels tell me that I have to live in a home with adults only. But, I'm not dangerous and I never try to hurt anyone!
I also need strong dog owners who will make sure I stay trained and accountable to them. A nice walk or run at least once a day will really help me stay relaxed and calm (just like a good walk or run does for people, really). Oh, and I have a strong preference for women but I will warm up to men if they go slow and let it be on my terms.

I hate to ask for all these special considerations, but I really want my next home to work out and last forever and I know that being honest and clear about my truest self will bring that dream closer to reality! Do you know someone who will love me just the way I am? Because I'm ready to love someone just the way they are.
Please come and visit and see why my rescue angels will not give up on me! I am eligible for foster placement prior to adoption.

And . . .
FOSTER HOMES ARE ALWAYS GREATLY NEEDED -- and appreciated -- FOR PETS!
These are all, of course, wonderful animals who just need a little love and care to be ready for adoption and the more of that they can receive in a temporary, loving home vs. in a shelter facility, the better.
Please become a foster home, for dogs or cats.
HSP supports fosters completely, around the clock, and provides all medical care and all supplies for fostering. You provide the space and LOVE! Fostering saves and enriches lives. Not just animal lives, but the lives of those who eventually adopt that dog or cat that YOU helped to give a new future.
Contact HSP at 815-436-2700 or email the Foster Coordinator directly, and find out how you can help or how they can help you to find that special new family member. And, as always, check them out on the web, on Facebook, and Instagram.
