Man Booked on Child Porn Charge for Nude Pix of 14-Year-Old Girlfriend: Cops

Joliet police said the charges stem from the suspect giving the girl photos of his genitalia and having nude photos of her on his cell phone.

An Addison man who had nude photos on his cell phone of his 14-year-old Joliet girlfriend and gave her pictures of his genitalia has been arrested for child pornography, Joliet police said.

The mother of the girl discovered one set of illicit photos when her daughter ran away from their home in the 7000 block of Lewis and Clark Drive, which is in Joliet but has a Plainfield mailing address, Cmdr. Rich Demick said. She suspected her daughter was with her boyfriend, Jonathan Cobos, 18, and turned the pictures over to police when she reported her daughter missing, he said.

When police interviewed Cobos on Wednesday, they did not find the missing girl but did discover nude photos of her on his phone, Demick said. Both sets of photos led to Cobos being charged with the Class 3 felony.

The suspect told police he thought his girlfriend was 16, Demick said.

The girl has been located and returned home, and it's not believed that Cobos was involved in concealing her whereabouts, Demick said.
