Man Faces Gun Discharge, Meth Charges In Plainfield Domestic Shooting: Police
Police said the shooting on Hazelcrest Drive happened during a dispute between a resident, their ex and another resident in June.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield-area man was taken into custody Monday in connection with a shooting that stemmed from a June domestic dispute in the 24100 block of West Hazelcrest Drive, police said.
Plainfield officers responded and found no one injured in the shooting that followed an argument between a resident, their ex-partner and another resident, officials said. The victims and witnesses identified David R. Mora, 21, as the suspect, who fled the area in a car.
Police went to Mora's home in Joliet, where they found him and took him into custody at the Plainfield Police Department.

According to police, investigators used automated license plate readers and information from interviews at Mora's home to locate his vehicle at a farm property in the 10000 block of Caton Farm Road. Officers found the car in an open barn, parked out of sight between a boat and trailer.
Mora was initially released from custody following the incident this summer. An "extensive" follow-up investigation, coupled with the initial findings, led to the Will County State's Attorney's Office approving an arrest warrant for him based on the following charges, Plainfield police said.
