Manny's Mission 5K & SuperKids Miler Takes Place this Sunday
Heroes and Villains Unite as One in Romeoville

Join Manny's Mission and the ATI Foundation this Sunday, May 1, at the Manny's Mission 5K & SuperKids Miler. Event day registration begins at 7:00 a.m. and the run/walk begins at 8:00 a.m. Pre-race registration can be completed at ATI5K.com.
The event takes place at the Romeoville Recreation Department, 900 W Romeo Road in Romeoville, IL., on a handicap-accessible 5K course, as well as a “SuperKids Miler” one-mile course. Donation for the 5K is $30, and the SuperKids Miler is $20.
Proceeds from Sunday’s event will benefit Manny’s Mission and the ATI Foundation. Additionally, several beneficiaries will be honored at the event, and will receive a donation the day of the race.
After years of hosting their own successful 5K events, the ATI Foundation and Manny’s Mission chose to join forces for this year’s event. Each group has a similar mission, and together, they hope to grow participation and increase the fundraising efforts that help support the missions of both organizations.
Manny’s Mission, based out of Romeoville, IL, was founded by Holly Bueno in an effort to support her son and help raise awareness for cerebral palsy, epilepsy and other childhood disabilities. The ATI Foundation, founded by ATI Physical Therapy, is dedicated to helping children with physical impairments in need of medical and financial resources. The two organizations came together when the ATI Foundation granted financial assistance to Holly’s son, Manny, a.k.a. “SuperManny,” toward the purchase of a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to help with his cerebral palsy symptoms.
“This partnership was a natural fit for the ATI Foundation, as it allows us to continue to support one of our previous beneficiaries, while continuing to help other children in our community with physical impairments,” said Terry Williams, ATI Foundation Director. “We look forward to maintaining our support of SuperManny, helping more children in need and bringing about community awareness for the many physical diseases and challenges that affect children in our community.”
As the ATI Foundation anticipates the most successful 5K event to date, they want ATI Foundation supporters to know that this will allow them to help many more children in this community, as well as across the many states we serve, in addition to SuperManny who continues to need assistance.
“ATI Foundation has similar values as we do,” said Holly Bueno. “Two great forces uniting as one is the best way to impact more lives.”
