Mark loved being on the cutting edge of aerospace technology and working towards the impossible. While Mark was very proud of the work he did, the place he truly shined was at home with his family. Mark was proud of the home he and Pam made together, and could likely be found working outside in the yard. He was an avid lover of cars, music, his dogs, and sports- especially watching his son Jake play baseball through the years. However, if you wanted to see Mark truly shine and witness one of his rare beaming smiles, you watched him interact with his Grandchildren. He loved to video-call with Jake’s kids in Georgia and was excited and looking forward to an upcoming trip to go out to see them and Celebrate Kennedy’s first birthday. He also looked forward to when Lauren would come to visit with her family. He oftentimes would play Music for Charli to Dance and would always have a Bicycle set up and ready to ride. Mark’s love for his family- immediate and extended- was endless, and he was a rock for the family, through and through.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, 1:00-4:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd. (Corner of Rt. 30 & Rt. 59), Plainfield, IL 60544.

Interment will be private.
