Meet Mercury and Sherry--TWO Great Dogs for Adoption from HSP
Two wonderful dogs are up for special consideration this week from Help Save Pets--both young, both mid-sized, and both adorable!
[Pictured above, in order: Mercury (Beagle mix) and Sherry (Lab/Hound mix).]
First up, Mercury is a cute, young male Beagle mix. He is about 1 year old and just arrived on the Rescue Railroad from a kill shelter in southern Indiana. Beagles are typically easy going good family dogs and this friendly guy is no exception. He's got a great face with soulful eyes. Come in and play with him a little bit today and see if you hit it off! You can meet Mercury and other great pets at the Animal Care Center in Shorewood.
The sweet looking girl in the 2nd photo above is Sherry, a female Labrador Retriever/Hound mix. She is about a year old, has a pretty brindle and white coat and is much smaller than you might guess from her breeds. Sherry made a long trip from a kill shelter in southern Illinois and got out just in the nick of time. She has always dreamed of having a forever home and a yard to play in. Could it be yours? You can meet Sherry and other great pets at the Animal Care Center of Plainfield.

And, as always but especially during the spring and summer seasons, FOSTER HOMES ARE GREATLY NEEDED FOR PETS!
These are all, of course, wonderful animals who just need a little love and care to be ready for adoption and the more of that they can receive in a temporary, loving home vs. in a shelter facility, the better. Please seriously consider becoming a foster, for dogs or cats, special needs or not.
Contact HSP at 815-436-2700 or email the Foster Coordinator directly, and find out how you can help or how they can help you to find that special new family member. And, as always, check them out on the web, on Facebook, and Instagram, too.
