Meet Nationally Acclaimed Children's Author Candace Fleming at the Plainfield Public Library Wednesday, June 24
Award-winning author Candace Fleming will be at the Plainfield Public Library District for a meet-and-greet and signing on June 24.

PLAINFIELD – Award-winning author Candace Fleming will be at the Plainfield Public Library District for a meet-and-greet and signing on Wednesday, June 24 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The Library is located at 15025 S. Illinois St. in downtown Plainfield.
Fleming, known for her children’s novels, stories, biographies, historical picture books, and short stories, is the author of “Fabled Fourth Graders of Aesop Elementary School,” “Lowii Discovers America,” “The Family Romanov: Murder, Rebellion, and the Fall of the Russian Empire,” and many others.
She has been presented many awards for her work, including the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award for “The Lincolns”; a Golden Kite Award for “Amelia Lost: The Life and Disappearance of Amelia Earhart”; the California Young Reader Medal for “Boxes for Katie”; and a Children’s Book Guild Nonfiction Award.

During the meet-and-greet, Fleming will talk about the writing process and share the stories behind some of her books.
Copies of some of her books will be available for purchase, and a book signing will follow her presentation.
