Michael Hac, 62, of Plainfield

Michael Hac, age 62, passed away on November 2, 2024. A resident of Plainfield, IL since 1998, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary (nee Wright); his children, Elizabeth (Tyler) Oliveira and Richard Hac; as well as his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many friends, especially his best friend of 47 years, Gabriel Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Donna Hac, and his sisters, Debbie Fishel and Karen (Leo) Bazalewski.

A loving husband, father and friend, Mike always had a joke to tell and made everyone laugh. He brought great joy to his family. Mike was a hard worker and provided an amazing life to his wife and children. He cared for his parents and in-laws out of love and compassion. His love of cooking and food provided many great meals for everyone around him.

Mike was generous in many areas of his life. He provided food to shelters, toys for children in need, and money to different organizations. He was truly a blessing to many. His compassion toward others will continue as a gift of life passed on to other lives as he was able to be an organ and tissue donor upon his passing.

Mike will be forever missed by his family and friends and his memory will always fill their hearts with his presence.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield, with final prayers of commendation concluding the gathering at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
