Mickey Sue Traver, Plainfield UMC Youth Coordinator

Mickey Sue Traver, nee Moore, age 69, a resident of Joliet, IL since 1970, passed away suddenly at her home on September 20, 2024. She was born in Chillicothe, IL on September 28, 1954.

Mickey Sue is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Tim Traver, Sr.; her children, Timothy (Sarah) Traver, Jr. of Joliet, Jackie (Joseph) Voitik of Joliet, and Glenda, Ruthie and Cara, all of Texas; her grandchildren, Cameron, Devin, Colin, Jaxon, and Charlotte; her mother, Harriet Moore of Joliet; her siblings, Chris (Paul) Spezio of Texas, Michelle (Terry) Easler of Joliet, Matt Moore of Chicago; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Moore.

Mickey Sue was a graduate of Plainfield High School, Class of 1972. She has been an active member of Plainfield United Methodist Church. Mickey Sue was very involved with the Youth Mission Trips for the last 20 years and dedicated countless hours to her church. Above all she loved her family, her church and all kids, especially her grandchildren. Mickey Sue will be deeply missed.

For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Mickey Sue’s life, memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Plainfield United Methodist Church Youth Group.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 26, 4:00-6:00 PM at the Plainfield United Methodist Church, 15114 S. Illinois St., Plainfield. Funeral Services will follow at 6:00 PM at the church with Pastor Sherry Steele officiating. A private family inurnment will be in the family plot at the Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe, IL.
