Midwest Brewers Fest Returning to Plainfield Oct. 8

Around 50 local breweries will be at the festival.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Bottoms up. The Sixth Annual Midwest Brewers Fest will be returning to Plainfield Saturday, Oct. 8.

According to the event’s website, it will be held on the Plainfield Riverfront.

“A newly constructed pedestrian bridge over the DuPage River will usher our guests into the fest grounds, providing convenient access to paved parking adjacent to Plainfield High School-Central Campus and Renwick Community Park,” the website states.

Tickets are not yet on sale, but will be soon and can be purchased here.

Around 50 local breweries, including craft beer icons and newly-opened breweries, will be in attendance. Some of the breweries include: 51st Ward Beer Company, Arcade Brewery, Cademon Brewing, Lake Effect Brewing Company, Metal Monkey Brewing, Vice District Brewing Company and Werk Force Brewing Company. According to a report from The Herald-News, Midwest Brewers Fest “is the largest single donor to the Plainfield Riverfront Foundation and one of the largest donors to the national organization Pints for Prostates.”

A request from Midwest Brewers Fest to hold the festival was approved by the Plainfield Village Board at its Monday night meeting, according to The Herald-News.
