Mobile Food Pantry To Come To St. Mary Immaculate Tuesday

Boxes or bags of items will be distributed in a drive-thru fashion from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those interested should arrive by 4 p.m., officials

PLAINFIELD, IL — To help people in need, a mobile food pantry is coming to St. Mary Immaculate Parish from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank Food Pantry and Catholic Charities Diocese of Joliet will provide free food to low-income neighbors in need and can serve up to 250 families, a news release said. The food will be dispersed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Those interested should arrive at the parish, 15629 S. Route 59, by 4 p.m., organizers said.

Boxes or bags of items will be provided in a drive-thru style, and volunteers will load boxes of food directly into people's cars.
