Motorcyclist, 19, Ejected After Crash With Vehicle Near PNHS: Police
The motorcycle was improperly passing other vehicles before the crash with a vehicle exiting the Plainfield North parking lot, police said.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Before a teen was airlifted to an area hospital with "very serious injuries," he was ejected off a motorcycle after it crashed with a sedan leaving a Plainfield North High School parking lot, according to police.
As of Thursday morning, the 19-year-old motorcyclist's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, Commander Anthony Novak told Patch.
At about 2:18 p.m. Wednesday, police officers and fire personnel responded to the intersection of 248th Avenue and Winterberry Lane after a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle and 2015 Infiniti sedan crashed.

Medical personnel tended to the teen before he was airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. The two people in the Infiniti, driven by a 17-year-old boy, did not sustain injuries in the crash, police said.
In an email sent to parents, Plainfield North Principal Ross Draper said no Plainfield North students were injured in the crash, which involved "an individual passing through the area."

Plainfield police's investigation into the crash determined the sedan was leaving the school parking lot and turning left to go south on 248th Avenue when the motorcycle improperly overtook several vehicles at a high rate of speed while traveling north on 248th in the left turn lane, Novak said.

248th Avenue was closed between 119th and 127th streets during the crash investigation Wednesday afternoon, Patch reported.
Police are withholding the names of the people involved in the crash at this time.
