'Neighborhood Scoops' Offer Free Ice Cream, Chat With Cops

Have ice cream and chat with Plainfield police.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Police Department will host free "Neighborhood Scoops" events offering ice cream on Sundays through August. Residents are invited to come out, have a treat and meet your local police officers.

Neighborhood Scoops are from 6 to 8 p.m. Sundays on the following dates and locations:

  • June 20, Liberty Grove subdivision park by the pool
  • June 27, Champion Creek Park
  • July 11, Arbors of Plainfield, Ruben street
  • July 18: Marybrook subdivision Park on Park
  • July 25, Enclave subdivision park at the end of Vicarage
  • Aug. 1, Auburn Lakes subdivision, the park at Auburn Lakes (Millennium Parkway)
  • Aug. 8, Patriot Square
  • Aug. 15, Winding Creek, the park on Winding Creek
