New Accountant Joins Plainfield Park District Staff

PLAINFIELD, IL — A new accountant has joined the Plainfield Park District staff roster, officials announced Tuesday.

This isn't Brie Hurley's first stint with the Plainfield Park District. She also worked at the front desk and as a swim instructor in the summers from 2009-2015, officials said.

Hurley returns to the park district after serving as the office manager at The Fields on Caton Farm. There, she managed accounts payable and receivable while also overseeing financial initiatives including banking, quarterly analysis, cash flows and legal compliance. From 2015 to 2021, she worked as a senior project coordinator at MasTec Network Solutions.

The accountant — who resides in Plainfield with her dog, Addy — has a bachelor's degree in finance and economics from Lewis University, where she graduated with high honors. She also has an associate's degree from Joliet Junior College.
