New Adventures at Goddard

We post on a weekly basis across all nearby Patch websites, informing parents, family members, and local residents about our upcoming Shorewood and Plainfield preschool activities, but we always the same question from curious minds:

“What's a regular day look like at the Goddard School?”

Great question! It varies from day to day, based on theme for the month. So far, we've covered learning in the 21st century, multicultural studies, and giving back to the community (one of our favorites!). All of our Shorewood daycare educators love to come up with innovative lesson plans and make sure to tie them in with less well-known holidays, such as National Potato Day.

Just this past Monday, our students spent the day creating beautiful works of art with potato halves! Take a look at the photos below to see all the fun we had! Sometimes, the most engaging activities don't require expensive electronics and toys, but simple items you can find around the home. That's why we're celebrating “Week of the Young Child,” starting next Monday, April 7th.

All parents are welcome to come to our school (5005 West Theodore Street in Plainfield IL) and eat lunch with your child. We'll also be recommending numerous activities that parents can learn at home with their son or daughter. See you next week!
