New IT Manager Hired At Plainfield Park District

Before joining the park district, Robert Asiamah held the same title at a manufacturing company for more than nine years.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Park District has a new information technology manager, officials announced.

Robert Asiamah was hired after working for more than nine years as the IT manager at Tmax America, a company that specializes in designing and manufacturing high-temperature thermal and acoustic insulation systems. In the role, he was responsible for benchmarking, analyzing, reporting on and making recommendations to improve and grow the company's IT infrastructure, according to a news release from the park district.

Asiamah's experience includes working as human resources manager at Tmax America from 2012 to 2017 and as a corporate support specialist at Home Depot RDC in Romeoville from 2007 to 2012.

Outside of IT, he has been a licensed real estate agent in Illinois since 2007.

The Plainfield resident, who lives in the village with his wife and three sons, has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Governors University and an associate's degree in management information systems from Joliet Junior College.
