New Park-n-Ride from PACE at 143rd?

See the Village of Plainfield website for the Monday meeting packet to see details, but looks like a deal is in the works. Yay!

This Monday's Board of Trustees meeting in Plainfield has one agenda item that involves a 40-year lease agreement between the Village of Plainfield and PACE to put a 400-600 space Park-n-Ride, with a decent sized shelter, at what was the spot on 143rd and Van Dyke slated for a commuter station on the STAR rail line that didn't happen.

Here's the link, just to make it easy: Village of Plainfield Board Meetings, schedule and documentation. Just click on either the Agenda or the Packet link for any meeting you want to review (the first page of the packet is the Agenda, but if the Agenda is all you want, then click that link). The agenda has links to supporting packet documentation for each item. This VP/PACE intergovernmental agreement bit is item #3 on the agenda for Monday's board meeting.

VERY good news, I think. Hope this works out well and thanks to everyone at the village and at PACE for moving this in a positive direction.

I encourage anyone who can to come out to this Monday's meeting (7p upstairs at Village Hall) to maybe even stand up and say what you think of this during public comment, or maybe come to the Coffee w/the Mayor this Wednesday, the 11th of January (9a upstairs at Village Hall), to hear and/or say more.
