New Plainfield Pet Store to Hold Grand Opening
Pet Supplies Plus will be celebrating its opening June 3-5.

A new pet supply store is opening its door in Plainfield.
Pet Supplies Plus, located at the corner of Route 59 and 135th Street at 13501 S. Route 59, is holding a grand opening June 3-5.
Store owner George Lennon invites families to a celebration that will include sale prices, giveaways and fun for kids and pets.

On Saturday and Sunday, the store will be holding a pet adoption event from noon to 4 p.m. with local shelters including Wagging Hearts and free pet washes are available all weekend. A free small bag of cat or dog food is available to the first 100 neighbors on Sunday and free scratch off cards will be given out with any purchase, for discounts between $5 and $50.

Finally, Pet Supplies Plus is offering free pets and family photos, 30 percent off dog toys, discounts on flea and tick prevention products and the chance to win a year’s supply of Purina Pro Plan dog or cat food.
The new Pet Supplies Plus location will offer area residents an easy to shop environment offering a broad range of food from premium items to basic grocery products and a wide variety of pet toys, equipment, fish and critters.
Additionally, the new neighborhood pet store will carry an extensive variety of Made in the USA pet consumables such as wet and dry food, treats, rawhide, chews and more, all at great prices and with a price-match guarantee. The store will also feature a self-service dog wash and a carry-out service to help neighbors carry heavy purchases.
“Pets are such a great perk of a family’s life. When owners come in to buy good food or a toy for their pet, they’re in a great mood and it’s hard to not be happy,” said George Lennon, owner of Pet Supplies Plus of Plainfield. “To be a central part of the happiness that goes along with owning a pet is a neat way to make a living.”
