New Principals Chosen To Lead Heritage Grove, Wallin Oaks Schools
One principal is a District 202 veteran, and the other joins the Plainfield school district from a Warrenville elementary school.

PLAINFIELD, IL — New principals have been appointed at Heritage Grove Middle School and Wallin Oaks Elementary School, Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 said Thursday.
Mike Romeli will oversee Heritage Grove Middle School, and Patrick Graff will lead Wallin Oaks Elementary School. The Board of Education approved their appointments at its March 25 meeting. Both will begin their roles July 1.
Romeli, a District 202 veteran, has spent his entire academic career at Plainfield East High School, most recently as assistant principal, a role he took in 2018. Before that, he worked as a campus monitor, coach and teacher.

Graff joins District 202 from Warrenville, where he currently works as the assistant principal of Bower Elementary School. He began his career as an elementary school teacher and has also served as dean of students.
"I'm excited by the opportunity to build on that foundation by supporting teachers, engaging families, and ensuring that every student feels known, challenged, and supported," Graff said.
Graff's energy and proactive leadership were two qualities that stood out during the interview process, said Scott Fink, director of administration and personnel for elementary schools.
"We are thrilled to welcome him to the district and are confident that his positivity will be a driving force for the Wallin Oaks learning community," Fink said in a statement.
