'Numerous' People in Custody After Disturbance at Plainfield Gas Station: Police
Police were still sorting out details of the incident on Monday afternoon.

Plainfield police took “numerous” people into custody following a disturbance late Monday morning outside of Thornton’s gas station, 15800 S. Route 59, police said.
Sgt. Mike Fisher said police responded to a report of a possibly drug-related disturbance outside the gas station at about 11 a.m.
While police were en route to the scene, a fight reportedly broke out at the location. As the fight broke up, numerous people fled the scene, Fisher said.

Officers were able to locate all the vehicles and participants believed to be involved in the melee, according to police, and “numerous” individuals were taken into custody.
Fisher said the alleged participants were still being interviewed early Monday afternoon as police worked to sort out the details and possible charges related to the incident.

According to Fisher, police do not believe there is any danger to the public as a result of the incident.
