Alicia, a very devout Christian and faithful Catholic, followed her heart and her faith throughout her life. She will be remembered fondly for her talents as a seamstress and cook who took delight in nurturing her plants which thrived because of her passion. Her memorable cookouts (which sometimes continued for days) will continue to be a topic of conversation as we move forward, gathering without her presence. Although, we know she’ll be near.

Alicia worked at Joliet Pattern and Filtration Group in Joliet, where she retired in 2012. Her energy knew no bounds, as she always was busy planning, hosting, and opening her home to all those she loved.

Visitation for Alicia will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 3-8 pm at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd (at Essington Rd) Joliet. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
