Obituary: Arnold J. "AJ" Rossi

Spending time with family was a priority for AJ, and he found immense joy in hosting gatherings and parties, bringing everyone together.

Obituary was published and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory.

Arnold J. Rossi

Arnold J. Rossi, passed away peacefully at his home in Brownsburg, IN, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 66, surrounded by the love of his family. Arnold was born in Chicago Heights, on October 4, 1958, the son of Arnold P. and Elsie Sue (nee Nardoni) Rossi. He was a graduate of Crete-Monee High School and furthered his education at Illinois Wesleyan University (1976-1980). Arnold retired from his career as a Loan Officer after 43 years. He was actively involved in Knights of Columbus, Caesars Seven Stars, and he is a TKE Alum. Spending time with family was a priority for AJ, and he found immense joy in hosting gatherings and parties, bringing everyone together.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Missy Rossi; his mother, Elsie Rossi (Nardoni); children, Nicholas (Katelyn) Rossi, Allie (Sam) Jones, Maria Rossi, and Lucia (Grant) Ozanich; grandchildren, Carter, Nicholas, Adam, Emma, Gabriella; and his brother, Joseph (Eileen) Rossi.

He is preceded by his father, Arnold Rossi; and brother, Raymond Rossi.

Funeral Services for Arnold J. Rossi will be held at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, November 4, 2024, from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Minooka where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery,19500 Cottage Grove Avenue, in Glenwood, IL. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
