Arturo Rivera III
Arturo Rivera III, passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 55, at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Joliet, IL, on March 1, 1969, the son of the late Carol (nee Carrero) and Arturo Rivera II. Arturo grew up in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School Class of 1987.

Arturo had a passion for technology, keeping up on the latest news and reviews of products. He would always do a thorough investigation and research on an item before purchasing it. Arturo was a diehard Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Being outdoors was a great love of his, especially doing yard work. But his greatest love was spending time with his family.
Arturo is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; children, Alec (Olivia) Rivera, Aric (Katey) Rivera, Quinten Rivera, and Samuel Rivera; granddaughter, Elsie Rivera; father, Arturo Rivera II; brother, Jeremy (Kelly) Rivera; sisters, Renee (James) Kaestner, and Tammy (Jeff) Jones; brothers-in-law, Jason Matchett, Jeremy Matchett, James (Abbi) Matchett; nephews, Quinneton Matchett and Liam Matchett; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Arturo Rivera III will be begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1705 Burry Circle Drive., Crest Hill, IL, at 11:00 a.m. As per his request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Visitation will take place at the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions in his name may be made to the American Red Cross.
