Sue Carol Formenti, a lifetime Joliet resident, passed away peacefully at the age of 92, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Sue was born on September 5, 1932, the daughter of the late Carl and Mary (nee Petersen) Larsen. She attended Joliet grade schools and graduated from Joliet Township High School with the Class of 1950.
Sue's hobbies included embroidery, crocheting and traveling. She also enjoyed baking and her family will sure miss her specialty, Rhubarb Pie.

Sue is survived by her step-son, Stephen Formenti, Sr.; step-grandchildren, Steven (Melissa) Formenti, Jr., David (Amy) Formenti, John Formenti, Jeremy and Angel Formenti; and her step-great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ian, Luke, Mason and Anthony.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Formenti, Sr.; her parents; sister, Barbara; half sisters, Elizabeth Schweitzer and Evelyn Morse; half brothers, Richard and Roland Swan; and step-son, Norman Formenti, Jr.
Visitation for Sue Carol Formenti will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd) Joliet on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
