Cathy Kush
Cathy Kush, age 73, of Shorewood, formerly of Chicago and Midlothian, IL, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Pearl of Joliet. She was born October 1, 1950 in Chicago, IL to the late Walter and Lorraine Kush.

She is survived by her cousin, Judy Garrett, and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Kush.
Cathy was an elementary school teacher for Chicago Public Schools for her entire career. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Joliet. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She will be remembered for her warm and welcoming personality that made everyone feel cared for.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2650 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL. As it was Cathy’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded after services.
