His ability to find joy in everyday life was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Daniel J. Adrian
Daniel J. Adrian passed away peacefully at the age of 93, Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Daniel was born in Brookfield, IL, on February 5, 1932, the son of the late William and Emily (nee Killian) Adrian. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Daniel retired from ComEd just shy of 40 years of dedicated service as a shift engineer. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and a longtime member of CECO Recreation Club.

Daniel loved his family more than anything and will be remembered for being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an amazingly kind and generous person, the type of man to give you the shirt off his back, or the last dollar in his wallet. He had a sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a witty remark. His ability to find joy in everyday life was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will especially miss his singing of breakfast songs, whistling around the house, and his absolute love of desserts.
Daniel is survived by his two daughters, Amy (Randy) Kehl and Lisa Adrian (Robert Warsaw); grandchildren, Spring Butusov, Brandon (Kim) Kehl, Danny (fiancé Sara Zebell) Kehl, Ryan (Amanda) White, Tyler (Missy) Kehl, Kayla (fiancé Chris Lee) White, Tanner (fiancé Wednesday Wolfe) White, and Lexi Kehl; 13 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and his sister and brother-in-law, DeAnne and Don Thornton.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo (nee Wilson) Adrian; his parents; and his sister, Vivian Lantigua.
Visitation for Daniel J. Adrian will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL. Funeral Service will be held on Monday at the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services and inurnment will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Woodlawn Memorial Park with full military honors held under the auspices of the United States Air Force.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Susan G. Koman Foundation.
