Proud veteran of the United States Army passes away at the age of 74.

David L. Conway, age 74, a resident of Joliet, IL, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, IL. He was born June 14, 1946 in East St. Louis, IL to the late Charles “Chuck” and Velma “Jo” Conway.
David was a graduate of Joliet Township High School. He was a proud US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Joliet American Legion Post 1080.

David loved traveling and flying as a pilot. He was an accomplished photographer and would take pictures of the places he would travel to. He will be remembered for having a story for every situation.
He is survived by his dear longtime friends, Rosa Martinez, Mike and Marcie Brookman; and many others who have had a chance to meet him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL. Facemasks are required and capacity restrictions will be observed. Private interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
