Fred Armour, Jr.
Fred Armour, Jr. of Channahon, IL age 93 passed away peacefully at Lightways Hospice with his two daughters by his side on March 23, 2023. Born in 1930 in Cobden, IL. He was the son of Fred Sr. and Villa Smith Armour. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. Fred worked for the EJ & E Railroad 36 years, retiring in 1989.

Fred was a loving husband of 68 ½ years to his wife Faye Armour and beloved father of Jan (the late David) Walker and Lisa Armour, grandfather of Ian (Laurie) Walker and Aislinn (Derek) Jones, great grandfather of Sydney and Blake Jones, and Aubrey Walker and step great grandchildren Kaitlynn and Austin Kavanaugh.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; sisters, Joy George and Judy Lamb; and a niece and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Everett and Kenneth; sisters Frieda, Frances, and Peggy; beloved son-in-law David; and great grandson, Caleb Jones.
Fred was a long time member of Families of Faith Baptist Church in Channahon, where visitation will be held on Monday, March 27th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with the service immediately following. Internment at Willard Grove Cemetery, Channahon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lightways Hospice of Joliet or Families of Faith Church.
