Jodi Lou Norcross, age 65, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 24, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Jodi was born on May 19, 1959, the daughter of William and Nancy (nee Herman) Johnson. She grew up in Wisconsin Rapids, WI and moved to Plainfield where she graduated from Plainfield Central High School with the Class of 1977. Jodi was a very active parishioner of Judson Baptist Church and volunteered for many years in the Encore Resale Shop at Silver Cross Hospital.

Jodi was a loving wife and mother who always put her family first. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, spending time with friends during book clubs, and could always be found quilting on Fridays. Jodi treated everyone like family and was known to numerous kids throughout the years as “Grandma Jodi”.

Jodi is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Barry Norcross; three children, Christian (Matthew) Misurac, Noah (Becky) Norcross, and Seth (Kelsey) Norcross; 12 grandchildren; her father, William Johnson; and one brother, Jay (Cathy) Johnson.

She is preceded by her mother, Nancy Johnson.

Visitation for Jodi Lou Norcross will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Judson Baptist Church, 2800 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Lightways Hospice, Judson Baptist Church, or The Door Christian Center, 353 Wilcox St. Joliet, IL 60435.
