Joyce A. Voitik

Joyce A. Voitik, age 86, of Joliet, IL, passed away Thursday September 28, 2023, at Ascension Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1937, to the late Reinhart and Anna (nee Rusina ) Stonitsch . She was a lifelong Joliet resident graduating from St. Francis Academy with the class of 1954.

Joyce is survived by her three sons; Gary (Ruth) Voitik, Gregg Voitik (Tara), and Jeffrey Voitik; six grandchildren, Steven Voitik, Michael (Alexis) Voitik, Ryan (Megan) Voitik; nine great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Barb (the late John) Downey.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband James Voitik (2002); her parents; and an infant grandson Ethan Voitik.

Joyce was a past member of the Women’s Auxiliary at Cantigny Post 367 VFW in Joliet, Throughout her life, she also enjoyed camping, playing golf, breakfast with the ladies, lunch with the Club Girls, and watching her beloved Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls.

Visitation for Joyce Voitik will be Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 Brook Forest Ave., Shorewood, IL. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.
