Lawrence “Larry” F. Rakebrand

Larry Rakebrand, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet. Larry was born in Joliet on October 31, 1944 to the late Orville and Marjorie Rakebrand. He was a lifelong area resident. Larry was a crane operator, having most recently worked for Thomas Steele before retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, boating, and trap shooting. He was also an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Larry is survived by his sister, Maryl (Ronald) Oldham; dear friend Carol Voigts; and nieces Ronna Richmond and Tara Staley.

Visitation for Larry Rakebrand will be today, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) rd., Joliet.
