Lenore Marozas

Lenore E. Marozas, age 74, of Plainfield the past 23 years, and formerly of the Garfield Ridge neighborhood of Chicago, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 11, 2023 at home, with her loving family by her side.

Born February 22, 1948 in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Eleanor (Fricke) Polejewski. She was a graduate of Kelly High School, where she met the love of her life, Joseph L. Marozas. They enjoyed many wonderful years of married life until his passing December 18, 2015.

Lenore was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who always worked hard and devoted herself to taking care of her husband and raising four wonderful children. She had many interests including crocheting, shopping, watching the birds, and tending to her houseplants. She had a soft spot for animals, especially her dogs, and she also loved jewelry. She loved her grandchildren and she will be missed by them, and her entire family, forever.

She is survived by her four loving children, Joseph (Gina) Marozas, Tim (Genna) Marozas, Teresa Marozas and James (Jessica) Marozas; eight adoring grandchildren, Aidan, Brody, Austin, Breana, Ellia, Nathan, Ian and Caden; one dear sister, Lynette (Roberto) Vazquez; two nieces, Lynette and Zinnia; and one nephew, the late Robert.

Visitation for Lenore Marozas will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 4:00 p.m., until the time of funeral services at 7:30 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation and interment will be private.
