Mike was born September 2, 1944 to the late John Campobasso and Virginia (nee Graziano). He was the oldest of 3 siblings. At the age of 18, his father immigrated to the US from Bari, Italy. Mike grew up in the predominantly Italian neighborhood of Stone Park/Melrose Park, IL.

Mike loved everything cowboy, fishing or family. Horses, saddles, hats, boot’s you name it. For the past 30+ years he’s had a room in his home devoted to all his horse and fishing memorabilia. He loved going fishing with his late brother Jack and was always looking for a reason to take his fishing boat out on any water way. Mike loved all of his kids and grandkids and always enjoyed having his family around.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Jack; sister-in-law, Sandy Campobasso and his favorite furry friend Heidi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America would be appreciated.
